Perfect for Classrooms, SEL Programs, and After-School Activities
This September, kick off the school year with a classroom activity thatâs equal parts fun, emotional learning, and seasonal excitement. Plant Pals are expressive grass-head buddies designed to help students explore emotions, responsibility, and creativityâall while getting ready for Halloween!
đ± What Are Plant Pals?
Plant Pals are adorable, pre-seeded grass-head monsters that grow with just water and sunlight. Each Pal has a unique personality and emotionâlike Scared Sam, Happy Hank, Cheerful Charles, Surprised Sandra, Angry Annie, and Moody Maryâmaking them perfect tools for Social-Emotional Learning (SEL).
Â
đ§ Why Schools Love Plant Pals
- đŹ Supports SEL: Each Pal represents a different emotion, helping students identify and express feelings in a fun, approachable way. Each Plant Pals has an "opposite " Plant Pal emotion. i.e. Happy Hank to Angry Annie.
- đż Hands-On Growth Experience: Kids water, trim, and care for their Palâs âhairâ (grass!), building responsibility and patience while watching their buddy grow.
- đš Creative Expression: Students can style their Palâs hair, decorate their hangout space, and even write stories or journals about their Palâs mood and growth.
-
đ« Perfect for Fall Start: Ideal for back-to-school season when SEL themes are introduced and classroom routines are forming.
đ» Halloween Tie-In
Â
-
As the grass grows and the personalities emerge, Plant Pals become the perfect lead-up to Halloween. Teachers can host a âSpooky Style Dayâ where students give their Pals Halloween hairdos, decorate their hangout spaces with mini pumpkins or cobwebs, and share stories about their Palâs Halloween adventures.Â
